Palm Beach, FL, Our Nation’s Capital — A day after President Trump announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on charges of importing “thousands of tons of cocaine to the United States,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed the US would replace him with former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez.
Trump pardoned Hernandez in December despite being convicted in 2024 for facilitating, “the importation of over 400 tons of cocaine into the US.”
“Look, he already knows the business,” Rubio explained to reporters Sunday.
“Also, hundreds of tons is less than thousands. We don’t want Venezuela to go ‘cold Turkey.’ Hernandez’s pardon was all part of Operation Absolute Resolve. Tremendous opsec.”
Venezuela’s New Dream Team
Rubio later announced that Changpeng Zhao would take over as interim Minister of Economy and Finance after his pardon for a conviction allowing drug traffickers and other criminals to launder money through his crypto exchange, Binance.
Epstein sex-trafficking conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell will become Interior Minister after her expected pardon, and January 6th rioter Jacob Chansley — the horned “QAnon Shaman” — will take over as Minister of Defense.
