By Penny Shill, White House Correspondent

Washington, DC — The White House has announced new additions to its timeline of architecturally significant events at “The People’s House,” such as rebuilding after the War of 1812 and Woodrow Wilson’s addition of the Rose Garden in 1913.

Historians, however, have questioned the relevance and accuracy of the four below timeline events. They include Bill Clinton’s tryst with Monica Lewinsky in a room that President Trump has turned into a MAGA gift shop, and a meeting between Barack Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood that never happened and is represented by a photo of Obama meeting an Imam in Kenya in 2006.

White House officials met with Muslim Brotherhood members in 2012, but Obama never hosted them.

When asked to explain the inaccurate or misleading photos and captions, including one suggesting Hunter Biden left a bag of cocaine in the West Wing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded:

“Oops.”

The photo on the left is of Hunter Biden from a laptop allegedly abandoned at a Delaware repair shop in 2019. The Secret Service found the bag of cocaine in 2023 but never identified a suspect. The right montage contains photos of Rose Montoya, a transgender model and activist who attended an LGBTQ+ Pride month celebration at the White House in 2023.

New Additions

Several new timeline events will post to whitehouse.gov in the coming days, according to Leavitt:

1883

Chester A. Arthur installs the White House’s first espresso machine.

1903

Teddy Roosevelt rides a bear through the halls in his famous “trust busting rodeo.”
