“It’s my signature, not the president’s,” Mr. Duck said.

In a stunning development Wednesday, Donald Duck took responsibility for a birthday letter to disgraced child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which Democrats and the mainstream media have tried to pin on President Donald Trump.
“I wrote and signed it,” the temperamental anthropomorphic Mr. Duck said, adjusting his sailor cap and bow tie. “Jeffrey and I go way back, and when I saw the president unfairly tarred and feathered for associating with a convicted sex trafficker, I had to set the record straight.”
Asked why he typed “Donald J. Trump” at the bottom of the letter with “Donald” signed in handwriting identical to Trump’s, Mr. Duck produced what he claimed was his original full signature before White Out spilled on the copy he sent to Epstein.

When a reporter noted the White Out explained the signature but not the typed name, Mr. Duck characteristically lost his temper and responded with a semi-intelligible tirade that nobody had the courage to challenge him on.
“One word: ‘vindication,’” said Trump, when asked about Mr. Duck’s revelation. “By the way, if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.”
